Hope someone can help me, this is frustrating me to no end!
Just recently got my Pedaltrain SC2 + BBE Supa Charger and it powers all my 9V pedals fine but it won't power my TC Electronic Nova Delay. The ND requires 12V which the Supa Charger is suppose to be able to handle (by switching the DIP switch into the up position, making it 12V) When I plug it in all the lights come on and keep on flickering but it never settles into working properly. When I use the ND's own 12V power adapter it works fine, what's up!?
I have tested the outputs on the Supa Charger in both up and down positions and they supply 9,12 and 16V fine.

The Nova Pedals not only use 12V, they also requires a hefty current of about 380mA (IIRC). Most multi pedal supplies cannot output this much to one pedal.

Outputs 1-4 & 7-8 give 100mA while outputs 5-6 give 200mA, is there anything that I can do?? If not I'm selling the Nova Dealy! There's no use in having a universal PSU if it can't power all my pedals. Then I'll get a normal 9V delay.

Reading your posts I'd say you have a priority problem here. What is more important to you: using the pedals you selected to buy or running them all from one PSU? It's not a train smash to actually use more than one; In fact since it will stop the power supply noise created by the one pedal from finding its way into the next pedal's tone. You also do not create a ground loop by using a long daisy chain. Live with the two PSUs!

It probably sounds crazy but I would love to be able to run all mu pedals off of one PSU,that's kind of the reason I bought it with the Pedaltrain The Nova Delay isn't irreplaceable

Just get a better PSU that can supply enough current. With a max current of only 200mA, you are going to run into problems with other effects - especially the better quality Eventide, TC Electronic, Moog, et al. Silly to get rid of the delay because you have only a PSU that can run old-fashioned overdrives and the like.

What would you suggest for a PSU? Would the Voodoo Lab PP2 work? It has the same dimensions so I could also stick it under the PedalTrain with the clamps provided (nice and neat )

I run a axtra psu ontop of my pedal power for my EHX frequency analyzer............ sadly some effects are non compliant. What i did as I am anal about having one simple plug to turn all power on my pedal board. I taped both the pedal power cable and psu cable together all the way up to the multi plug, thus have one cable instead of two loose one to get in the way.

Yup. That's how you do it. Just parallels two outputs to give you double the amperage. So as long as the plugs fit in the Supa Charger it will work.

It should work with that current doubler cable on the BBE. I've done it on mine (though with a different pedal). Getting a Pedal Power II won't solve the problem because they have exactly the same problem (the specs on the BBE and the PPII are almost identical). Getting the cable will. Just speak to Marshall Music Cape Town @ 021 426 6325. They do VL and T-Rex so they should have the cables.

The solution is simple: Sell me your Nova Delay for R1000 and go with something else
