I saw this group on facebook that claims that Avenged sevenfold is a fake band. Acording to the creator of the group the members didn't play on some of the songs on their new album and that their producer played it. And that they finger sinc their guitar parts live. Apparently their sound guy just presses play on his MAC. The guys from CKY with whom they toured gave all this facts.

This all sound impossible to me becuase I have seen Synester play on all the total guitar video stuff?!

So what is your opinion ? I hope its not true. the group would be easy to find.just search "Avenged sevenfold fake" or somehing like that.

dragonforce yes, but i dont think avenged sevenvold is such a case, you would be suprised at how many producers write songs for bands.

I dont know what to believe anymore in this crazy world, but nothing is impossible!!!

The best thing is they say you can actually see their sound guy backstage working on his mac and playing the solo's. They mention ProTools but i dont know how this works

ahhh, it could be samples that is triggered manually by the "mac guy"(thats what i would call him) that has been pre recorded in the studio(on pro tools), the only thing that must be right is that the drummer needs to be in perfect sync with the sample otherwise it wont work(since the drummer gives the tempo, and 2 different tempos dont mix well, unless you are a true genius like Shawn Lane).......unless the drummer is also faking it...... :-X

Hope its not fake. I seriously don't think so, but then why would some one create a group about this? I have never seen Synester gates live but seen him on you tube giving lessons and so on. I have there latest album and don't see why he shouldn't play live.

i know some bands let their producers play some stuff on their albums, but they give 'em credit for it...example Trivium let Jason Suecof write the solos for Pull Harder On The Strings Of Your Martyr (off Ascendancy) and the first solo in The Rising (The Crusade)...but i highly doubt those accusations are true about A7X because i've seen the video of 'em playing live at Rock AM Ring and Synyster was amazing Cool

I highly doubt it...

Avenged Sevenfold started out of the Orange County scene with a lot of other bands like Atreyu, so it is not like they just popped out of nowhere.

As mentioned, Synyster has also done a lot of tutorial and instructional videos.

Side note, his dad was guitarist for Frank Zappa for a while, he is also "Guitar Guy" on one of comedian Jeff Dunham's shows.

A lot of people don't like Synyster Gates, and thinks he does not deserve the credit he is receiving. I'm assuming this is nothing more than a "we hate band so and so" phase some people seem to go through. Pathetic really.

i agree,A7X are a really good band...Synyster does do alot of tutorial videos(for Total guitar he did a few)...i think the main reason probably don't like him is because (IMO) he is a "pretty boy",in other words,he is very imagine conscious, which IMO isn't exactly a bad thing because i mean it sells, look how popular they are? and if their producer played most of the stuff i'm sure he would want some sort of credit/recognition of it...

Go watch a live video of 'em(preferably a concert) and judge for yourself, but IMO i think it's all a load of shit Embarrassed

I'm a skeptic naturally. I deny and denounce things to the point that one would think I'm paranoid, but I can't bring myself to believe Avenged Sevenfold is fake, especially since even if they "finger sync," damn, they can finger sync fast! May as well make them just play.
Besides, didn't they produce their new album by themselves? And what about the fact that every time they play live, they sound slightly different? (Youtube recordings)
It would be a pretty elaborate ruse.. if they could pull it off, chances are it's being done with tons of other big name bands. Metallica would probably be fake too 0.o
No, I can't believe that trash. Rumours and jealousy maybe.
