Was trawling around for info on MIJ Fenders and found the fuji-gen factory shop...

https://shop.fujigen.co.jp/Contents/ - You'lll want to use Chrome's built-in translator or google translate.

+/- 80k Yen (+/-R9.5k) will get you a entry level strat or tele. Sounds pricey, except japanese Entry level means Alder or Ash bodies, gotoh tuners as standard and ebony compound radius fretboard  Huh?

Around 120k Yen (+/- R15k) gets you into their higher end - one piece bodies, comes with hardcase , uprated electronics.

250k+ Yen (R30k+) gets you their top range stuff - name brand pickups, custom finishes (choice of wood, flame finishes).

Does a Fender MIM at > R15k RRP still tempt you? Err...

In a heartbeat!
Haha, thought you'd be the one person to enjoy that =D

A couple days ago I came across a near-mint '92 Fuji-gen Ibanez RT series (Fender style tremelo) - Great neck, Gotoh tuners, impeccable finish. Sooooo nicely made!
