From a greenhouse perspective, carbon fibre is better than planting trees since the carbon content is higher per kg  Tongue
The trouble is more in the energy required to produce the fibers.

What surprises me is that in this day and age with all our technological advances in acoustics that guitars are still made of wood. I am an old school stratophile but I would be willing to pay top dollar if Fender would make them out of more stable materials such as carbon fiber.

Here's a demo of the Blade.

Seems like a hot-rodders' delight in some regards, though there may be problems cutting it to fit another pup.

Why is that ?

The Blade comes stock with a Duncan JB & a Jazz and thaose are 100% srock sized humbuckers !
I can not see any ishoo's if you just want to swap out those for any other 'buckers !

It will not except P90's or Jazzmaster pu's, but even single coils will fit with an adaptor plate.

The reason why i started this here thread, is because i am actually thinking of getting one.

Unfortunatly,  they jacked the price up to $1100.00 or there about as they do not sell direct any more, only thought their various dealers  Angry

I am trying to find a guitar that will get me as close as possible to Jack Whites (The White Stripes) Eastwood Airline clean tone.
His guitar (made from fiber glass) is a hollow/semi hollow design. Two pieces outer fiber galss with a thin pine "centre block" to give the pick ups somethng to rest on. (...see below)

So i was wonderring if this "modern-21stCentury-FibreGlass" guitar can produce the same or extremely simmilar acoustic properties as his "ress-O-Glass Eastwood Airline guitar, when played clean throught a good Fender-like amp ?

Needless to say, i will drop in other pu's too, like these :

. . . ANY THOUGHTS ON THIS GUYS Huh?

Aren't the Eastwoods fairly cheap and readily available? They are generally better guitars than the originals too.

Funny, If a modern manufacturer had come up with something like the Airline guitars, we'd all laugh him out of business.

Problem with the new Canadian made Eastwood is,  they are made from solid wood!

There is not one Fiber Glass guitar in their range  Sad

Playing 100% clean, will be alot diff on a solid piece of plank vs. a semi hollow Fiber Glass jobbie !
