I have a collection of home movies on Super8 that I would like to convert to DVD. Anyone you can recommend to do this? What should I look out for if a guy offers to do the job?

This is before my time (hence my knowledge is shaky at best) and the movies are obviously irreplaceable. I would hate for a lightie to come back with a big black knot of tape in his hands saying: "sorry, his machine jammed"...

aja, like "eye-ya" and 90% of the time I talk utter rubbish, so be warned!

Gear: lots of old crap - weird and wonderful things that most people would throw away...

Good dealings with: ezietsman; mattax2; ray; keirax10; PJH; Richard_x10; 6x9base13; needleshy; Alan Ratcliffe; inflames; Mr.M; CostaFonix; geemobee; nicovlogg; Lethe; Aubs; guidothepimmp
no negative waves to be found there :-)
