I have a collection of home movies on Super8 that I would like to convert to DVD. Anyone you can recommend to do this? What should I look out for if a guy offers to do the job?

This is before my time (hence my knowledge is shaky at best) and the movies are obviously irreplaceable. I would hate for a lightie to come back with a big black knot of tape in his hands saying: "sorry, his machine jammed"...
