Would someone please tell me: On my Ibanez AG75 which is like hollow with one of those loose bridges and all, when I change strings does the damn thing need to have the intonation setup again? Cheers

Is it a floating bridge and are you worried about it moving?

If so then change the strings one at a time, rather than remove all 6 and then putting a new set on.

Be glad, for the song has no ending.

Yip that's about it. And I am upping the gauge. So what do you do when you want to put this lemon oil stuff on the fretboard? Cheers

It doesn't take more than a minute with a tuner to reposition the bridge. Some guys use thin felt tip marker pens or a china marker to mark where the bridge should be - I've even seen it scored into the finish with something sharp.

It's a floating bridge. Our AFS75 is the same. Easiest as Bob said is to change one string at a time. This way the bridge does not move.

What size strings are on at the moment and what do you want to change to.

Just remember that these guitars prefer heavier gauges to lighter ones as a lighter gauge puts less pressure on the bridge and can have a big influence on volume and tone as less of the string vibration is transferred to the body.

We're using 10's at the moment and I want to actually go to 11's shortly. 9's are a disaster as there is just not enough tension for the bridge to work properly.

EDIT: BTW, Mando at Music Connection really knows how to set these hollow bodies up and it makes a HUGE difference to the tone and playability.
