I see the latest add on the top bar is for knock off guitars made in China, sold as Gibson's, Rickenbacker's etc.

The link takes you here:

Just a heads up....

Extract from the ad for Gibson.... Cheesy

Description:
This brand new guitar. The sound of this guitar is absolutely marvelous. I believe this instrument will please most discriminative professional player. This style professonal guitar is compelely new and nice.

-Package:
Come with beautiful box, easy to carry and safety enough for guitar.
The cases shown in these photos are not included with the guitar.
Cases can be ordered for an additional fee.

How do these guys get away with this.. selling these with the Gibson, Fender, Gretsch, etc. logo on the headstock . Huh?

Some hideous, some just poorly mediocre.  All absolutely wrong to buy.  This is one place that Vic and I will have absolutely no disagreements.

 Cheesy  Ditto.
I notice that at the back of the headstock of the Gretsch 6120 it says "Made in the USA"....SCARRY !
GFSA should perhaps reconsider entertaining this banner

Yeah, very suspect I agree. I remember reading about something similar a while ago. The quality was quite crap. It is def something Alan and Norio should look at.

We will be taking it up with Google. I'm also not too comfortable with the BBW and gay dating ads either. No problem with either of those, I just think they don't belong on an all-ages site like ours.

No dating ads at all - they make the site look cheaper IMO. I mentioned the BBW and gay ones as those were two I noticed. The main thing is the Google served ads don't seem to be as well targeted as they used to be.

great re banning dating ad's altogether ..... cos you do not wanna open the pandora's box of only banning lesbian/gay dating ad's .......... many musicians are lesbian/gay  and that would alienate your site, as being homophobic..........

so yeah either allow all dating sites or ban em all..........

ja they had a cool competetive ad filter at one stage where you could choose what type of sites to block. Now I see you have to almost monitor it and block specific sites. How annoying.

All Google Ads have been removed. I was experimenting with them to see if they improved but, ja, not so much. We should see much safer ads again Smiley
